The snow leopard is a large cat that lives in the high, rocky mountains of Central Asia. It feeds mainly on sheep, Alpine goats and goats. Its thick fur protects it from freezing temperatures but its beauty means many animals fall prey to poachers. That's why the snow leopard is an endangered species. A special feature is its tail, which, like the snow leopard in Schleich® Wild Life, is almost as long as its body.
